--Finally a place to, rest?

she didn't feel it was a tedious idea, but she understood it was naive. some wolves took from others without concern. some demanded loyalty to succeed. Bee just wanted to help others find a place to belong. whether this was with her or not, she did not much care. as long as they were happy in the end. she gave Serpentine a nod as he replied back and moved away from him to circle the group of the hare. choosing the two fattest ones out of the group, she looked up across to find the dark man settling into his role.
he was ready, and she was too.
Willoughby exploded from the foliage, uncharacteristically snarling to scare the mammals away. they darted and she tore after them, trying to lead at least two toward Serpentine. she managed to scare one right at him, and her jaws closed on one for herself. sickening blood pooled in her mouth, and she resisted to either gag or swallow. the hare squealed a finality before she crunched down on its body, silencing it forever. her crimson eyes matched the steady flow of blood from the animal now dripping against her green bib.
even if the man missed the mark, she had caught one. they could still eat.
