Fight words with fire

Dea watched her children closely in the days that passed since they had been ushered back to Ashen. Thankfully she had been given mostly to solitude, though she never got the scent of Sirius out of her nose. The male seemed to devote a pretty big chunk of time to watching her, a fact that made the devil smile secretly. Today, it seemed, she would be given a visit. It didn't bother her that he knew where she was, it was the way she wanted it. That he felt the need to watch her at all gave her a personal sense of pride. It was good he knew she was dangerous, and it felt good to be seen. A subtle announcement meant Sirius was nearby, and Dea made her way out of her den as he began to speak. He wished to spar with her, and she needed to brush up on her skills anyway. The last fights she had been in had been a few years ago, the first against an Abraxas seeking a goddess for a slave. The other had been against a pink and green-eyed girl who had decided to talk shit about Archon when he helped keep Abaven afloat. It was high time she whipped herself into shape, after all, she still had her whelping bodice.

She gave a half-hearted smile, trying to be courteous. The tension was evident in her frame, though she hid it well, and she moved out of the den mouth. There was no excitement to her, only anticipation, the reputation of Sirius was well known in Ashen. Would he use it as an excuse to dispatch her?  "Lead the way, I guess." Dea tried to separate her feelings away from the situation at hand, she would have to keep her cards close to her chest. Unsure of what to expect, Dea would follow Sirius to a more appropriate sparring ground.
