Under Bourbon's tender care, she had begun to bounce back. An intelligent glint had returned to her eyes as opposed to the sharp blight of madness. Luce was making herself busy organized and inspecting the stock that they had left. It likely wouldn't last much longer through the winter, but she knew that eventually spring would come. They would have to make do in the mean time. She had been crafty before - they would persevere through the cold season with the frugality she had cultivated over her lifetime.
She had only recently made her den open to visitors again. Bourbon had been tending to the pack's necessities while she had recovered from her unfortunate lapse in acuity, but she was glad to be back in her element. It had been an ugly but important reminder that she couldn't lose control so easily. A certain young voice reached her ears and she looked up from her work. Not many of the children had begun to show interest in anything but scrapping around, so she eagerly welcomed Plague into her workspace. "Hello, little prince," she said, giving him an affectionate nudge. "What have you come calling for?"
