Cloudy!

One ear tipped back as the steady crunch of footsteps behind her caught her attention. It was back, apparently. Amaretto was caught somewhere between concern and annoyance. On the one hand, a deer stalking a wolf was a bit alarming considering the roles were usually reversed. On the other...it was a deer. At its worst it was a kicker. She'd never heard of one biting and antlers should have been shed at this point. So what was there to fear?
Nothing, probably, but she still didn't want to tangle with it. Illness was a good motivator during times like these and sickness wasn't something Amaretto wanted to tangle with. For now she was content to move away; to navigate this unfamiliar territory and put distance between herself and the strange beast.
Her paws had barely touched down on a smooth outcropping when the sound of hurried hooves behind her caused Amaretto to whip around. The deer, foam flecking its lips, tongue lolling and eyes rolling, was racing at her. It shook its head as it ran; seemingly brandishing antlers that weren't there. It was crazed, that much was clear.
Alarmed by such an uncharacteristic display, Amaretto bolted. She flew through the ash-coated leaf litter with ease, her paws hardly seeming to touch the ground. As she ran she looked ahead and plotted out her next steps. No way she was getting cornered somewhere with that thing. She didn't know what was wrong with it and she didn't want to find out.

Amaretto has a male cotton top tamarin named Georgi who is with her at all times unless stated otherwise.
