She didn’t want to think of the possibility that Hannibal was really gone, that he had been swallowed by the volcano as well, never to be seen again. Deep in her heart she hoped desperately that she was wrong, that he would return to them in the spring and the empire would again rise to greatness. This wasn’t the first time he left her, she needed him to return. Deathbelle suffered too much loss to say goodbye to her brother as well.

Lilac gaze shifted from her paws to Sirius’s terrible but now gentle features moved so he might kneel before her. His voice was low, but offered hope and encouragement as he spoke. Deathbelle did not share the same bright outlook on the future as Sirius did. She had many years left of feeling thehole Archon left, of living beside the one she truly loved without being able to express the deep feeling.

Sirius offered a great deal, with him as the leader of their second pack, he would expand Ashen’s reach and build her an army the likes of which would not have been seen in Boreas before. Belle was pulled by the idea and didn’t wish to doubt her vessel. Despite her losses, she still held onto her desire for such power, she wanted to rise up higher and take the lands for all they were worth. Hannibal’s loss cemented her destiny.

”My permission is granted.” She said simply, wanting desperately for her Daimyo to follow through with such high promises. ”Don’t let me down, Seer.” She commanded him, unable to take another such loss. ”I need you.” She admitted softly, a fact that she had long known to be true but she didn’t say. He was one of her support pillars, as his rank so clearly showed. When he succeeded, he would be even more powerful than he already was and would also elevate Deathbelle with him.

Deathbelle wears a rosebud tiara that is not shown in her art.
