It had brought her both delight and sorrow when Vail had joined them beyond the veil. She had gotten the chance to hold her white daughter in her arms again, and weep for a life cut too short. She knew her beautiful daughter worried for her children, especially when Solor joined the small family. She knew some times he was here, and at others he was with his parents. She welcomed him into their family regardless, the old warrior giving him nothing but love.
When Shaye joined them it was another day of weeping and laughter. She rose at the feel of Shai’s warmth leaving her, and excited the den to find him, standing, waiting, for the arrival of their eldest. The old wolf came up beside him, leaning in to his familiar brace, with him in death, even when in life they had spent so much time apart. She said nothing, just stood there beside him, and waited with in their timeless world.
