Asvor wasn't entirely surprised to find another group was seeking refuge in the same place Legion had chosen. It was relatively fertile sliver of land in the otherwise quite often desolate west, and it was about as far from Mount Volkan as one could go without finding an island to hunker down on. Occasionally she came across an unfamiliar scent, but Chaos didn't seem bothered by it and so she didn't seem to care either. Truthfully she'd ever been the type to stick her nose in the business of others, not unless it directly affected her, and with age she'd grown to care even less. But getting to know their neighbors didn't seem like such a bad idea, did it? Lazily she trailed the scent of a stranger, though upon further recollection she realized she wasn't quite a stranger. No, she'd been the woman running the wolf auctions awhile back. Asvor had been quite interested in that strange, miniature wolf with unusual paws, but quickly the auction had descended into violence and the stakes had climbed, she'd quickly realized her bid was quickly out-shadowed and she'd easily backed out. He would've been an interesting thing to experiment upon, but he was hardly worth the hefty price that had been offered for him. Either way, her interest was picqued.. and though she wondered for a moment of Valkyrie sought to claim Legion wolves as her own, she quickly reminded herself that the wolves Chaos had chosen to join his side weren't the kind so easily taken as prisoners. She certainly wasn't. Slowly she padded on, eventually finding the female near the edge of the basin. Jormungandr was accompanying her today, clinging even more tightly to her than usual as of late, thanks to the change in lands. Surely this dryer, warmer climate was more comfortable to him but he seemed even more wary than usual here. "Afternoon," she called out, the faintest hint of amusement touching her voice. "How lucky am I to stumble upon the richest woman in all of Boreas, all the way out here?" Asvor's tones were playful, if anything. She had no idea what Valkyrie had obtained during her little market, but surely quite a bit - personally she didn't care much for riches or trinkets, but the thought certainly amused her. |
