we survive, it's what we do [ABAVEN SPRING MEETING]
Octave had been distant, he'd tried to spend as much time as he could with Novel, knowing his sister's poor mental state was in danger of slipping even further with the sudden eruption. She'd been so mentally scarred by the fire, she'd become so much more terrified and he had no doubt the volcano had only given her a reason to buy into her fears. So he'd been focused on her, to the detriment of the rest of the pack. Octave knew he had to turn his attention outwardly again, but it was hard when he was so consumed by worry for his sister. Still when the pack had been called the man knew he had to go, he had to show his face once more. He listened silently to Theory as he spoke and Noko lounged along the top of his head. The man grimaced as the girl mentioned Shaye and Octave couldn't help the flood of guilt it brought with it. He should have been there for the alpha, for the woman that had accepted him into her pack, into her family. He knew he was one of the few healers left in the pack now and so when the girl asked if anyone wanted to offer help he rose to his paws, Noko seemed to understand what it was he was getting at and while Octave couldn't summon the words he had managed to summon enough confidence to hold himself with a small amount of pride. "Octave and I are at your disposal, it'll be a long process of rebuilding stores and the like but we'll try our best to offer our healing skills where ever you need." The lemur said, perking her ears and looking to meet Theory's gaze. |
