The last time she had seen her family, her brother was fighting for his freedom. She’d had every intention of sticking close to her family, regardless of the outcome, but she’d somehow managed to lose track of every one of them. She couldn’t be sure how long it had been, how much time had passed since she had found them for that brief period of time. A scowl worked its way onto her face as she remembered how close she had been. These lands were still strange to her, she had no idea where they could have wound up, but she had little else to do but continue to look. Her poor sense of direction had kept her continuously wandering in circles for a time, though the area she found herself in now seemed to be new. Perhaps, with any luck, she would see an end to her fruitless searches, or some interesting company at the very least. Her head lifted to the sky as she sniffed, catching a faint hint of something that she wanted to recognize. Hints of something distantly familiar, so so vastly different from what she remembered that she couldn’t be sure that it wasn’t just wishful thinking that she may have found just what she had been looking for.
