Skill Prompts are a monthly feature that allows your character to gain skills in different ways. Each character can only complete ONE prompt per season, and can be completed either in a solo post or in a group thread. You cannot claim these posts for other skill points! Please note that as long as you complete the objectives, you're free to be creative with your posts and have some fun with these prompts!
For solo posts, you must complete the entire prompt in one post. Of course, you can use these posts as thread starters and continue the thread as usual, but no other skills may be claimed by you from that thread.
For group threads, the word count is cumulative and will be taken over all participants. However, participants must be ACTIVELY trying to complete the skill prompt for their words to count. Note that group threads have a maximum of 3 allowed participants unless otherwise specified.

Passing Down Knowledge: Being good at fighting isn't all about getting down and dirty. Learning from others with different life experiences is an important step in honing your skills! It's time to learn something new, folks.

Goal: Either teach a fight lesson, or receive a fight lesson from another wolf, that delves into more than just basic attacks and defenses. Maybe you're learning how to use a weapon, or how to fight on difficult terrain - be creative!
Word Count: 1500 (Group Only)
Location: Anywhere
Tasks:
1. Either give or receive a fight lesson.

The Return: The many herds that inhabit Boreas and Auster are slow to fall back into their usual patterns as the volcano's effects lessen, but hints of their return can be seen throughout the lands, and sometimes they can be found grazing in quite unusual places...

Goal: Take down a large prey animal.
Word Count: 1500 Group (4+ participants required for this one)

Lingering Effects: With the lands slowly returning back to how they once were, there's bound to be lingering effects from the volcanic eruption. Let's get these patched up now that the weather is starting to go back to normal!

Goal: Spend some time tending to injuries that were either directly or indirectly caused by the volcano. Think beyond obvious effects like burns. Has your character suffered fatigue from traveling more than usual? Maybe some effects of smoke inhalation are beginning to show? Did they encounter a predator in an unusual land, thanks to unusual migration patterns? Feel free to focus on your own injuries, or another character's!
Word Count: 800 (Solo) or 1500 (Group)
Location: Anywhere
Tasks:
1. Check in on someone with a lingering ailment either directly, or indirectly, caused by the volcano. Feel free to be creative here.
2. Find a way to treat your patient (or yourself), whether with herbs or through another method. Remember, not all healing is about plants! Sometimes time and patience can be the best healer.
3. Successfully follow through with a treatment, or simply prescribe a treatment plan to your patient.
4. Only the one giving the treatment can get the healing points this time, sorry!

Reward: 30 Healing Skill Points

Navigation
