Line in the sand

Zee felt it coming, knew what the warlord's response would be to her blatant disregard to his command. She heard his heavy paws as they barreled towards her, then the absence of them as he leaped for her from behind. Zee dug her paws in hard and reeled backwards so he'd miss his target, counting on her smaller stature and heightened agility to see her through the movement cleanly. Once he'd landed away from her, she struck with her own jaws parted and aimed to grab him by his right-rear thigh, far enough away from his fangs and keeping aware of any potential kicks that may fly in response. If she knew the warlord well enough however, she expected he'd hesitate in a blind strike that could very well land upon her swollen belly. Regardless, the horned queen was prepared to fight dirty to get what she wanted.
