When we were young

Her words made him pause for a long moment. It was strange to think that anyone would want to spend time with him just to spend time with him. He wasn't a personable sort, he'd never tried to fool himself or pretend otherwise. So for Caelia to say she wanted to spend more time with him - his first thought was a suspicious one, that she was trying to manipulate him to get something... training, or something. It didn't make him angry, so much as his assumption was that everyone of worth would try to manipulate those around them to better their own life. It was the logical thing to do. But the thought didn't seem to quite fit, and he blinked at her with faint puzzlement. "All right," he said cautiously. "We can spend more time together."
He shrugged his shoulders sharply, dismissing the thought for the moment. "We don't have many options here. There's no reason we can't learn from other sources. Other packs, or loners. Or just sparring at the battlefield. Aurielle - " invoking her left a bad taste in his mouth but if it helped his argument it was worthwhile " - says that Valhalla wolves should be going to the battlefield together to witness one anothers spars. That's an option for us. Practicing together will get us experience as well of course, and that is something we can begin right away, if you're willing to spar right now." He tilted his head to the side, studying her with his brows raised in a silent question, though his tone said that he had no doubt she would be ready. After all, he was always prepared for a fight so why would his sister not be the same?
