The Winds of Change

**Set pre-meeting cuz I suck**

He had just finished a round of patrols, strengthening boundaries and making sure everyone was accounted for. Since the whole volcano fiasco, he wanted to make sure things were safe around their lands and so far, all was well. They were lucky to be so far from the blast zone, the distance between them and the east seemed to lessen the effects. Although the temperature was still chilly, it was nothing that the wolves of the North couldn't handle. They were strong. In body and in mind. They would survive anything and everything that came at them. Which led him to thinking...perhaps it was soon time for his children to start learning. They needed mentors, and he knew he couldn't be the only one to teach them all and still fulfill all his duties of tending to the pack. Well...he probably could. But it would likely lead to burn out later. He slowed his pace absentmindedly as he thought about what to do.
