It almost surprised her how quickly her body moved in rhythm with his as their fight began; it'd been a long while since she'd properly fought but she hadn't forgotten everything quite yet. Feeling Eldi's hold on her shoulder wasn't the end of the world, thanks to her age she knew the fight wasn't over simply because she hadn't dodged his attention. Evasion wasn't really her style anyway, at least when it came to fighting. And clearly it wasn't Eldi's either, as he held hard against her push, maintaining his upright position.

All she could do was tighten her hold, or at least attempt to, rewarded with the feeling of blood trickling over her tongue. A soft hiss near her ears told her that Jormungandr was rearing up to strike, though she knew the bush viper wouldn't do much damage it might at least catch Eldi off guard - and no amount of coaxing could get her to back down, Asvor knew that. In a flash the snake snapped forward, aiming to distend her jaw and sink her fangs into one the side of Eldi's cheek, away from his mouth so he couldn't retaliate - but at the last second Eldi's bobcat lunged forward to attack, and Jormungandr was forced to duck away, lest she meet his claws.
