He almost couldn't help the quick, small grin that formed as she darted past. And then his focus turned back to the young she-wolf who was preparing to attack him.

The earthen male turned in her direction, the feeling of claws grasping either side of his shoulders just below his leather armor. He winced with the pain, a growl surfacing as her claws dug in and then her teeth found purchase close to his throat (just below it where it met his chest), and so he immediately lowered his head in an attempt to pin her with his horns and grab whatever he could with his own teeth while surging forward in the hopes of forcing her to let go.
