The woman's ear flicked, mouth falling very slightly ajar, celestial optics widening. For a moment she was frozen like that, features the very meaning of surprise. Then, without warning, every last muscle in her body tensed, a slight snarl slipping from her lips. Hair raised and audits pinned thoroughly, her weight shifting with discontent. The fact that she had called for the brute that had eaten her stillborn pups before her was absolutely disgusting and almost a little horrifying. After a couple of seconds of her anger pulsing from her, she stifled her rampant emotions, lowering her head as she took a deep breath, trying to control herself. She drew herself back to what he had said, about the congratulations.

"It's bittersweet," she said quietly. "But I'm glad to know he won't be back to bother my family, Ludicael, and I. And you, for that matter." She gave an almost saddened smile, but its mood brightened considerably when he delivered his true intentions of having come here.

"Of course, Kylar. I would be honored to have you and your children in Ludicael. How old are they?" She tilted her head a bit, tail swishing back and forth slightly. "Mine are about two seasons, now."

crawl. crawl more. drag your hands and knees across the destruction left in my wake to the ends of the earth. there's a green light of a shining star in my sky and there will not be an obstacle i will not overcome until i cup that star in my palms. the void in my will has been filled with purpose. so crawl. crawl more, love.
because i like it when you're on your knees.
