Quietly Zabrina picked her away across the plains. Today was the first day she was exploring on her own. She'd eaten her fill of rabbits and napped like nobody's business, and now it was time to take everything in without Sirius' guidance. So far exploring on her own was different. Since she could set her own pace she was free to pike along through the interesting bits and gloss over the boring stuff. And being a pack made up grown ups there was an awful lot of boring stuff to skip over.
She paused beside a patch of flowers. With their white petals and happy yellow middles they were awfully pretty. Zabrina glanced around to make sure no one was looking and then carefully picked one of the flowers. She settled down with the small daisy held gently between her paws. After a bit of play she realized she could twirl it around if she rolled the stem from paw to paw. It was a neat little trick but eventually the rough treatment caused the stem to fall apart leaving her with just the flower and a tiny, nubby stem. There was only one thing to do with it then.
Zabrina balanced it on her paw, ducked her head and tried to put the flower behind her ear. The stem was a bit too short so each time she straightened up after getting it in the right place it rolled down the back of her neck and she was forced to retrieve it with a huff.
