Justice loped through the battlefield with a casualness born of long familiarity with the locale, her burly bear-like form keeping up the pace easily. Her life had for years revolved around the physical and with each stride the play of muscle beneath her dark coat made that fitness clear. She might not have the fancy armor or weapons or mutations other wolves had, but she had the drive to pull her through - though the ropey scar down her face said well enough that not everything always went her way.
Surprisingly enough Justice wasn't actually here for a fight, though she wouldn't pass up a spar if it happened to come her way. That's why she was here alone rather than with the witness pack rules said she should bring with her to watch and confirm her spars, because she was here for something different.
See, Aurielle had promoted Justice to a beta rank, and while Justice wasn't the most responsible wolf in the world she took Valhalla's safety very seriously, and when it came down to it she just wasn't at all satisfied with the number of wolves they could field, both in patrols and in an emergency situation like a raid. She was fairly sure Aurielle would be off looking for wolves who'd fill other niches in the pack that she was building - hunters and crafters and such - but that wasn't Justice's jurisdiction. She cared primarily about adding to the battle roster, and anything other than that was just icing. And where else did you look for possible fighters, but the battlefield?
She scaled a fall tree with a casual leap and stood atop it, eyes scanning with a relaxed air.
