flowers for algernon

Azure looked thoughtful, considering what his brother had said. Well, then what were the other flowers for? It didn't make sense. Flowers were there to look pretty, for little girls to put behind their ear. To pounce and chew on if you got bored. Though he was still trying hard to understand his brother's hobby, and kept thinking on how he could contribute until he had an idea.

"There are really really tall flowers outside the den." He began, remembering all the times they'd run past the bright yellow sunflowers when they exited home. "Mom said dad put them there for her. So those flowers must be for giving to mom, too." Indy's flower was pretty, but it was small. Bigger was better, right? Azure thought for sure his mother would rather have a towering flower then the teeny ones Indy was picking. "Maybe you can pick some of those and have lots of colors to give her."
