meet me at the garden gate

Indigo relaxed peacefully, his solitude an easy state to slip into especially with Io’s garden so close. The gentle breeze and the sunshine played on his vibrant pelt. He was alone for a while, but the sound of paws on the ground brought his sapphire eyes open as they fell on Banshee’s tall form. The boy’s lips turned up into a smile, he liked his solitude but he enjoyed the company of others as well. He’d already been taught that she was his adopted sister, a concept that he didn’t quite understand yet but he knew what a sister was.
The boy enjoyed her company and it was easy for him to look up to her, and he was glad that she liked to enjoy the garden as much as he did. She approached him and stopped close before asking to join him. Indigo nodded, the smile still playing on his dark lips. ”Yes, please.” He uttered softly, wondering if she would find time for a lesson with him too. ”What are you doing, Ban?” He asked her, she was older and had many more responsibilities than he did. He was curious about her, and already saw her as an idol figure. Someone to look up to like he did his mom or dad.
