The girl seemed uncertain and perhaps slightly taken aback by the offer. She didn't make a move towards the oryx but the woman wasn't offended by it. The young wolf didn't seem to be lacking in nutrition. Even if she had seemed to be emaciated, it wouldn't have bothered her. If a hungry wolf was foolish enough to turn down a free meal, they didn't deserve that meal.
Again the girl spoke, making an observation. The one-eyed wolf nodded in response. "You're correct. We don't have these particular animals in my packs lands. This skin will be a gift for my daughter and her betrothed." Knowing that Roan would soon propose to her diminutive daughter, Resin had begun compiling a gift for the pair. She had been collecting unique skins from various animals and would present then to the pair after they spoke whatever vows they felt were necessary. To Resin, words were wind. It was actions that counted.
"Are you on your own?" The girl had made an observation. Resin made one as well, but was curious as to how the young wolf would respond. Would she lie and say that her pack was close or was she confident enough to say that she was indeed alone?
