down and dirty

Indy was a sensitive boy, and he could easily see the changes within his brother. At first there was excitement and Indy felt himself perk up. Maybe this task wouldn’t be as horrible as he thought. Of course Indigo deflated just as his brother did and his confidence fell and faltered completely. The vibrant violet boy took in a deep breath and summoned all of his courage. He had to convince Azure, this was the most difficult part of his self imposed quest. The cause of the rift between siblings. He loved and adored his brother, and couldn’t understand why he was so hostile towards their eldest sibling.
”Hi.” He returned as the boy tried to decipher the sadness in his brother’s voice. He struggled for a moment of how he was going to breach the subject. ”So… The other night.” Indigo wasn’t sure if he had it in him to confront his brother, but he was going to try. ”We need to make it up to Aslatiel.” The words were said with confidence, but Indy wasn’t sure he felt it in his heart. ”I was talking to aunty Io to try and figure out how. I think it would be best to recreate it, to get along this time, and show her how much we care.” He thought his speech was rather convincing, and before he knew it they’d be making up everything to their sister.
