However frustrating that it was that this stranger was defacing their borders, Desolate knew he had no leg to stand on until the other male stepped a toe over onto Abaven's territory. It was important to him to make his alpha and teacher proud, and he was not sure how she'd feel about him starting a territorial dispute when the other had done nothing wrong... yet. He clenched his teeth, paws grinding into the ground as Desolate tried to keep his cool. The lavender supplements he'd been taking for relaxation hadn't been working, and as he aged into a yearling the mood-swings had not lessened as he expected, but swelled.

He managed to keep calm enough and collected enough throughout the man's retort, though as it neared it's end something broke within him. The mention of Desolate's mother - the one that he'd not seen in nearly a year - cracked whatever resolve he had left and the yearling flung himself across the border line without another word. It took him a few strides to meet the brute and he hardly slowed as he neared. His jaws pried open and he moved to meet the man head-on, his right foreleg lifting to aim to wrap around the larger male's neck while his teeth aimed to bite down upon his muzzle to rip and tear.
