The male who answered her call was an older one, greyscale aside from his feet and some markings around his eyes. Pestilence raised a brow questioningly, but did not comment on his obviously further advanced age. She supposed even old people had to fight, though wondered if it'd even be a challenge for her. Just her luck, her first fight as a yearling and it was handicapped. The man was polite, and Pestilence mirrored his greeting with a dip of her own head. "I will have you, prepare yourself." She warned. The princess would not have it said that she won only because she failed to give the old man a chance to prepare.

Once he appeared ready, Pestilence struck. The pair were close enough in height - although she knew she'd outgrow him in the coming year - that there was no clear advantage there. His build was heavier than hers was, though she assumed in her younger age that she could make up for the lack of muscle. Pestilence moved with the intention to slam her chest against his own, a move she'd seen executed many times but had been to small and young to use it in her own spaws. As her chest moved to meet his, her leg lifted to aim to wrap around his shoulder to grasp a firmer hold and her jaws moved to try and land a bite upon his cheek.
