there's nothing more for me

The pair lay together and Rava promised to try and be strong. Saia smiled and nodded in response. The young woman wouldn't have much choice. She would either be strong or she would fall into deeper despair. Some that fell to such depths simply wasted away until death claimed them. Saia didn't want that for the clouded woman. Not at all.
After the pair had been resting together for some time, Saia rose and went to check on Rava's cloak. The breeze coming through the drafty log wall had dried the damp fabric. Taking it up, she took it back to the woman and settled the forest green fabric upon her once more, reaching below her chin to hook it securely. Once that was done, Saia covered her face with the blue veil once more. They'd been left alone for too long, she felt. Someone would surely be coming to check on them soon.
About twenty minutes after the ladies had donned their garb, the door opened. Saia stared at the door, long ears erect and neck straight like the goddess of some ancient race. It was the brute that had brought them here in the first place. He pushed a dish of meat into the room and brought them a pail of water as well before informing them that they might be here for a while while their new master paid the price for them. Soon they were left on their own again.
"Are you hungry?" She asked Rava before rising to inspect the offered meal. The meat in the dish was a bit of rabbit. No bones that their merchandise could choke on, of course. The pail of water was clear, though the outside of it was a little mucky. Taking the dish of meat between her teeth, Saia brought it back to where she and Rava had been resting. Placing it in front of the cloaked woman, she settled back beside her.
