Her options were limited, be strong and weather the storm that would be her life or embrace her weakness and waste away as the days went by. Rava wasn’t sure that she would have what it takes to rise above her situation were she to face it alone. She clung to Saia in more ways than one, and she wondered if she would be able to pull out the strength she needed to survive. Rava didn’t make any move to leave Saia’s embrace, but eventually the woman would release her. Being so close was dangerous, anything could be used against them were they to get caught together.

Rava lifted herself from the dirt floor, sitting up but she wouldn’t take on the confident pose that Saia owned so well. Relief washed over her as the veiled beauty returned the forest green cloak to her, being covered brought her comfort and a false sense of security. Even if it couldn’t actually protect her Rava embraced the relief. She sighed softly as her attention was diverted to the door and the wolf who’d brought them to the holding cell.

The girl shrunk in on herself, surprised that the massive brute was so forthcoming with information as he offered the expectation of a long wait. Frozen in fear Rava didn’t move until Saia brought the platter of food closer to her. At least the pair were going to be well cared for until their new owner claimed them.

”Yes.” She whispered softly, unable to remember her last meal. She hadn’t been starved but all of the stress left her without any kind of real appetite. Hesitating only slightly, Rava picked gently at the prepared meal. Unconsciously the dainty girl leaned against her companion, the comfort and support held her together. ”Who do you think is going to take us?” She asked quietly as she picked at the pieces of rabbit. Their new master hadn’t even seen them before buying, she didn’t want to think about the future because it was so uncertain. Talking about it would hopefully bring some clarity and lessen her fear.
