Artur VS Proserpina

The opportunity to test himself against strangers, to grow and improve in battle had been too much to pass up, though Artur had had little interest in attending any other aspects of a festival. In this first round he'd been paired against a young female of a similar age, though a few inches shorter. The northern alpha spoke to them both, and Artur gave both him and the female stranger a curt nod to acknowledge, then slipped into a defensive stance while the alpha moved away.

He didn't wait for his opponent to make the first move, instead kicking off to approach her in bounds. His attack was pretty straightforward, approaching her head-on to attempt to slam into her chest-to-chest. Subtlety was all well and good but so was ending the game quickly if he could take her by surprise and overwhelm her. He twisted his head to the left and snapped at the left side of her neck right behind her ear, seeking a grip on the muscle there.
