Valdis VS Justice

Justice shared a grin with her opponent. Valdis, the former Talis member who'd crippled Regulus and she'd faced at the winter tournament that one year. She was a worthwhile opponent, and one she wouldn't mind losing to if it came down to it.

Not that she intended to let that happen.

Valdis' companions readied themselves, prompting Justice to wryly recall her previous - and then forgotten - enthusiasm for the idea of companions of her own. Whoops, shouldn't keep putting that off.

Valdis charged, and while she aimed low Justice was short enough to make it awkward for her, especially since she dropped into a crouch to bring her own shoulder to the level of Valdis' forelegs and dug her claws into the ground for grip, in the hopes of letting Valdis' own momentum trip her over Justice's shoulder. This unfortunately put Justice's face at the level of Valdis' attempt to hook her foreleg, earning her a hefty smack in the muzzle from Valdis' paw, but Valdis' bite snapped into empty air where Justice's neck no longer was. Justice snapped at Valdis' left foreleg in retaliation for the smack on the muzzle, seeking to slash it deeply rather than grip it since she didn't want to do anything to stop the possibility of flipping her opponent.
