Poem VS Ares

Shit. He miscalculated his aim and where he'd actually be hitting, but by the time he realized it was too late. Her shoulder jabbed his chest and he felt the air leave him for a few moments, causing him to balk and try to catch his breath. Out of the corner of his eyes, however, he saw her teeth come flying at him again and he couldn't think of anything to do except to duck. That in mind, he dropped his front half to the ground, hopefully giving him a second or two to recover before he launched forward with his powerful hind legs, aiming to slam into her body and hopefully knocking her back or onto the ground. Twisting his head towards her, he sought to grab her left foreleg in his jaws, and should he fail, well he hoped his longer fangs would manage to cut her at the very least.

He was far less than graceful when it came to fighting, he hadn't been training much with it. But he figured once this tournament was all said and done, he'd have to get more serious about training with it. He wanted to make his dad proud of him, and so far...he felt like his fighting skill wasn't something worth being proud of at this very moment.
