Sirius just wanted an outlet for his frustration. He wanted to tear something apart until he no longer felt the black hole in his gut. He wanted to wipe away Dove’s fear with an angry swipe of his paws, as through that was going to fix anything. He wasn’t going at getting out his anger at frustration in a way that wasn’t physical or violent. It’s why half of his and Zee’s couplings had come in the form of epic battles. His hit landed, and Dove tumbled forward. Sirius’s momentum brought him past the wolf, who had done nothing to defend himself. The lack of guard had caught Sirius unaware, unbalanced him, so he didn’t get a chance to give another pashing swipe as he went. Instead, he would turn, facing the man again, breathing heavily from anger rather than exhaustion. Sirius stood there, facing him, anger written in every crevice of his expression. “Defend yourself, you fool. Roll your shoulders, brace yourself.” he snapped, some of his anger sapping at the sheer lack of retaliation, even as it exasperated and frustrated him.
