Theory was used to hardship. Her life had been one disaster after another. If she could walk through fire, if she could steer her pack to safety with Shaye's help during the eruption, if she could lose her mother... she could fight. Everything had prepared her for this moment. Fierce love for her pack and her family burned in her heart. As Poem and Motif took to the battlefield - shy Motif, who fought bravely for her family despite all she'd been through - she felt new confidence swell within her. Together they could do anything. She rode the feeling into battle like a strong tailwind. Acere swung his body towards her, but her head had already been tucked to protect her neck. With their height difference he managed to succeed in giving her a heavy blow to her head, but she absorbed it with a quick backwards stagger. She growled under her breath and shook it off. The recoil from his initial attack had pushed her just outside of his grasp. Theory was young, sure, which luckily meant she was little bit more elastic than some of the older wolves in the fray. At least he was plenty easy to see with his gaudy armor amidst the other fighters. She was pretty sure he was recognizable from miles away in that getup. This was supposed to be a friendly fight, yeah? Chuckling to herself, Theo darted forward again. It appeared as if she was going for his neck from below, but she ducked down between his front legs and aimed to grab the tiger skin that connected his armor together. If she was successful, she'd quickly back up with it grasped in her jaws, pulling it forward over his eyes to blind him and put a goofy end to the altercation.
