Azure gently pushed her little paws aside and placed his much larger ones upon the beasts exposed ribs. With his massive, wide paws, he cracked the ribs open as easily as cracking an egg. Together, they watched the heart thump. The beats were slow as the creature lay dying, but it was definitely still alive while they were watching. Az spoke, his tones soft and Asla leaned against her brother, her bloody cheek on his shoulder. "I love you too, Az." There wasn't anything that she wouldn't do for him. As they got older and one of them was chosen as the Armada's successor... she would show him. Her head still on his shoulder, the girl had her plum colored eyes locked on the now still heart.
