Even during their falling out, he never stopped caring. He just had a hard time showing it. She had taught Actaea a great deal. Rhyme was his friend, too. He had taught Ignis a lot and his nephew still looked up to him. But he supposed it wasn't unusual for a former student to look up to their mentor, now was it? And in that sense, part of him would always care about this pack and the kin of Shaye & Rhyme. Even if he didn't agree with the kind of relationship the pair had, it wasn't the fault of the children. Whether Theory cared to learn the true reason behind this later, didn't matter he supposed. She could make her own assumptions about this whole ordeal, but he'd always be ready with the truth of the matter. After all of this, he'd certainly take a hard look at whether or not he did the right thing in saving Kai from slavery. Or whether it would even be worth saving anyone else in the future.

Finn was beneath him, seemingly attempting to distract Theory with a nip to her nose. The girl had seemingly dove between his forelegs when he thought she was going to try and strike at his throat. With a grin, Acere quickly brought his torso up and sought to come down on Theory with all his weight. Despite this being a fight and the tension in the air, he was still careful not to catch her too much with the reavers he wore, and instead, aimed a bite towards her back. Do them proud, girl." He thought silently to himself as they both sought to get the upper paw on each other.
