Like a Good Neighbor! [R A I D]

Rhyme’s sharp eyes watched as the battles began to erupt around them. They seemed to be mostly good natured, no excessive blood loss yet. The once alpha was proud of the young wolves that gathered and ran head first into defending their pack. Oddly enough the old man wore a grin, he was in his element. Maybe this raid was happening for the wrong reasons but as he watched the wolves around him and felt his own heart beat excitedly he wondered if such an event was good for their pack.

The youth didn’t hesitate, Desolate was eagerly battling his opponent and his daughter fought valiantly with the opposing alpha. Poem stood proudly, looking too much like her mother as she stood adorned in Shaye’s armor. He might have felt overwhelmed with emotion a few months ago, but he could only feel pride. Even Motif appeared to help, he wasn’t sure about her confidence but he was most proud of her progress. Rhyme was honored to be blessed with such incredible daughters. Abaven would be in good paws.

His thoughts were interrupted by his name being shouted across the field. The voice was vaguely familiar and when blue and lavender eyes fell on the man Rhyme recognized him as Kai. Feeling more alive than he had in far too long Rhyme felt his defenses fall into place as the tusked man raced towards him. He had little time to react before he felt Kai’s tusks against his neck and the man’s chest slammed against him.

He responded with a groan as he felt pain blossom in his chest. Without thinking the huge Cavalier man returned Kai’s attacks. He’d aim to rear up on his rear legs and wrap his bracered arms around Kai’s shoulders. Rhyme opened his jaws and aimed to return a hold on Kai’s neck. His blood was filled with adrenaline and excitement, making him more solid in his renewed love of life.
