Winterfell vs Abaven Raid

Why was he even frustrated? None of this was Ignis's fault, but he was suddenly the closest - and thus, the easiest - target. Everything seemed to come to fruition all at once. His parents being gone, the disappearance of his sister, Shaye's death, the volcano's eruption. So many wolves of their wolves and family members lost, some found again, some to likely never return to them. It was all too much... and now they had been unwittingly roped into this raid, for no reasons of their own. Not only that, but they'd spent nearly a season fearing it and worrying about being prepared. Not that it was anything serious, but somehow it felt serious, and left Corvus with a sour taste in his mouth. Why them? What had they ever done to deserve this, any of this?
Maybe his thoughts were unreasonably angsty for the circumstances, but Corvus had always been the type to overthink, and now was no exception. He was ready for this, he'd been training for ages, but facing Ignis now head-on he suddenly felt wildly unprepared. As soon as Ignis mirrored his actions, his forelimbs moving to grapple with his shoulders and tug him down, Corvus stumbled. He didn't mean to, but he was suddenly distracted by his friend's helmet and breastplate. Those would certainly make it harder to land any attacks, but maybe they'd weigh him down a bit?
Either way, he hardly had a chance to react before he felt him own body go spinning toward the ground. Ignis's words had caught him off-guard, enough to make him lose his balance entirely, and he felt his own limbs slacken and begin to slip. "Sorry?" He didn't have time to think, only to react, and he lunged for the corner of Ignis's breastplate, hoping to get a grip on the leather straps that fastened it together, tugging him down hard. "You should be!" Corvus barked out before he could even stop to consider his words, which was a rarity for him.
