For a Sister

She experienced few moments where the feeling that was welling inside her showed its face. She didn’t start fights, but she upheld hers and her family’s honor. That included her sister’s right to the feather that had once belonged to Shaye. Poem welcomed the feeling of passion that took her, even if this boy was young he didn’t back down. She could see the passion in his eyes, but she ignored the confusion. He knew what she was talking about, and she wasn’t about to back down. She would force him to return her prize if she had to fight him to do it.
Bright eyes grew wide as he denied her, his voice was a hard no as he denied her. Her brows knit as she pulled back her lips to reveal pearly white teeth that gnashed in frustration. Poem was infinitely patient, but this boy was pushing her to the very edge. Her slate and black hackles rose all along her back as she bent her joints and rolled her shoulders. Ivory tail flagged at her hips as she assumed a more dominant position. She would force his hand and take it from her.
Poem had long forgotten her bath and how wet she was, her mind was entirely on keeping her honor. The boy wouldn’t back down, but that only drove her further. He goaded her on and Poem lowered her head, ”Fine.” She growled darkly before launching herself at the boy. He was big and as she raced toward him her eyes widened as she realized he had wings. The thought never occurred to her that Motif might have mentioned that the robber had such incredible appendages.
Her attack continued unhindered, she couldn’t afford to balk now. Poem aimed to come at him from the right, her icy blue paws carried her forward menacingly. Parted jaws aimed to grab hold of his scruff at the same time as she aimed to slam her chest into his shoulder to throw him off balance.
