He was still getting used to this strange place.

It was almost as if he were in wonderland, weaving a breathless trail of bullshit in his wake. He had made no attachments here only breaking the surface in the last few days. His heartbeat the only signal that he was still alive, molten hues glancing around as things started to settle. He had a feeling he might run into something unexpected soon, jumpstarting him back into th fray.

It was rather nice here, slipping in silence down the grassy incline as the wet earth greeted his burnt paws. An inhale of the moist air, out here he was overexposed setting one careful step in front of the other. But something was off here, a sweet and tangible scent lacing the brisk air. Instrest snagged as quick as his heart beat, stalling rfor just one more moment of silence. But he craved the company of his own kind, he had never done very well on his own. So he weaved his way forth, embracing the thought of another new face.

He spied her from a distance, graceful curves bent to inspect something on her hind paw. He was almost shy at first, she struck him in a funny place deep down. He didn't want to alarm her, so he gathered up the rest and took a step forward. "Is everything alright?". He was in a strange mood tonight, almost happy to find out that she wasn't a monster. He wagged his tail in a gesture of openness, head cocked to the left like an overgrown mutt. He was in shambles compared to her, hoping softly she might tell him things he needed to hear.
