Skill Prompts are a monthly feature that allow your character to gain skills in different ways. Each character can only complete ONE prompt per season, and can be completed either in a solo post or in a group thread. You cannot claim these posts for other skill points! Please note that as long as you complete the objectives, you're free to be creative with your posts and have some fun with these prompts!
For solo posts, you must complete the entire prompt in one post. Of course, you can use these posts as thread starters and continue the thread as usual, but no other skills may be claimed by you from that thread.
For group threads, the word count is cumulative and will be counted over all participants. However, participants must be ACTIVELY trying to complete the skill prompt for their words to count. Note that group threads have a maximum of 3 allowed participants unless otherwise specified.

Fighting

Snowy Obstacles: With winter settling in in full force, you may want to start practicing fighting in extreme winter conditions.

Goal: Practice fighting in winter conditions, whether it be snow, ice, bitter cold, or otherwise.
Word Count: 1500 (Group Only)
Location: Anywhere in Boreas with winter weather (nothing in the far west, far south, etc.)
Tasks:
1. Engage in a fight during extreme winter weather. Not just during a chilly day, but either in the bitter cold, on ice, or in deep snow!
2. Explore how fighting in these extreme conditions is hard. What might you have to do differently? Are you at a disadvantage?
2. See the fight through to the end.
3. The fight doesn't necessarily need to be judged, but it needs to be completed with a clear winner!

Reward: 30 Fighting Skill Points

Hunting

Winter Tracking: Hunting in the winter is always a bit tricky, but in the middle of a blizzard it tends to be even harder...

Goal: Go on a hunt during a blizzard!
Word Count: 800 (Solo) or 1500 (Group)
Location: North Boreas
Tasks:
1. Decide to go on a hunt in the middle of a dangerous blizzard. Who knows why, but it's happening.
2. Find prey to track and follow their scent. Is it harder during a blizzard? How else can you track your prey besides scent?
3. Take down your prey.
4. Feast! Do you try to drag your kill somewhere else? Is sitting out in the open in the dangerous elements such a smart idea?

Reward: 30 Hunting Skill Points

Healing

Project Snow Cone: Every healer knows herbs don't always taste great, but maybe you can use some snow to make a tastier treat!

Goal: Find a way to mix herbs into a mixture of snow to make a tastier method of consuming them.
Word Count: 800 (Solo) or 1500 (Group)
Location: Anywhere in Boreas with snow (nothing in the far west, far south, etc.)
Tasks:
1. Brainstorm an herb that you want someone (or yourself) to consume. Perhaps it's something you gathered previously, or just carried from a more hospitable land?
2. Figure out how to mix the herb into the snow. Maybe mushing it up will help? Perhaps adding something with more flavor will make it taste better?
3. Test out your snow cone! How does it taste?

Reward: 30 Healing Skill Points

Navigation

Ice Skating: Is there a better way to enjoy the sudden winter weather than to indulge in a bit of ice skating, honestly?

Goal: Go ice skating.
Word Count: 800 (Solo) or 1500 (Group)
Location: Anywhere in Boreas with winter weather (nothing in the far west, far south, etc.)
Tasks:

1. Find somewhere that's been iced over.
2. Skate. Easy as that! Maybe your skating is intentional, but it doesn't have to be... maybe you accidentally fell down a mountain. Who knows, you just need to skate!

Reward: 30 Navigation Skill Points

Intellect

Slip Slidin' Away: What better way to pass a fine winter day than to have a sled race?

Goal: Craft a sled through your own means, and have a sled race with someone else!
Word Count: 1500 (Group)
Location: Anywhere
Tasks:
1. Find an incline steep enough to sled down. Hopefully there's snow! If not, be creative. Maybe a muddy hill would work too?
2. Craft a sled. By creative, it can be made out of anything!
3. Decide who wins! Feel free to roll a dice on your own, or plot it out in some other day.

Reward: 30 Intellect Skill Points

BONUS PROMPT?

TBA!
This month's bonus prompt will work a bit different, and will be entirely separate from the regular prompts, so don't worry about it yet!
Redeem prompts as usual in skill claims!
