Venom was able to skillfully dodge her flying teeth and without control of the other girl's head, Pestilence's shove was not a spar-ending move but instead just served to push the girl away. Rather quickly Venom was coming right back, lifting on her hind legs. As her sister aimed to claw at her neck, Pestilence's instinct was to wrap her own legs around Venom's as well. She had to force herself to consider other options, as the crown princess had been born with quills that hid in her scruff.

Instead, Pestilence lifted her own upper body and aimed to apply her paws upon Venom's chest. Her new accessory made the wolf's claws sharp and strong, though they were not nearly as unique as Venom's mutations. She intended to take the princess' claws to the neck and hope that her sharp shove could keep Venom from reaching her throat with her jaws.
