The sweet smelling grass and flowers seemed to soak into the boys pelt. He liked it. Even when he hadn't cared about anything, he had found enjoyment in the scents of plants. Many nights he'd slept in fields of soft grass just like this. Stopping his rolling, Beat sprawled upon his back, long obsidian tail swishing lightly in the grass. He had been such a different creature then. So angry. So lifeless. He used to be a ghost, just like his family.
The clouds above sent little rays of sunlight down periodically. These rays made the little dust motes dance and glitter. This place really was pretty, he mused. As he stared upwards, the breeze shifted, swirling around him. The swirling wind brought the scent of another with him. All he had wanted was to be alone... With a sigh, the boy rolled onto his stomach, but he sprawled in the grass with back legs stretched out behind him.
Aunt Twig may enter any of Beat's threads while he is underage.
