The girl gave her name and Beat said it aloud, feeling it on his tongue. "Aslaug..." Deciding that he had it right, he gave a nod. She went on to speak of his family traveling here to join Valhalla. He'd heard the name in passing, but that was about it. He didn't know much else about it. It could be an evil pack. Aslaug didn't seem to be evil though. She was a kid, just like him. He wouldn't say that aloud though. Kids never liked to be called kids.
"So what do you like to do, Aslaug?" Beat was in an oddly playful mood having met a stranger of his own age. The boys pale front half dropped to the ground, black hind end still in the air. His tail swished back and forth through the air. "Want to hunt some lunch? I didn't bring anything with me and I'm starting to get hungry." Raising his front half again, he lifted his dark nose and began scenting the air. There were pigs nearby. Pigs were good eating. "We could hunt a pig. There are some not too far away. We just have to find them." He shot her a winning smile. "What do you say, Aslaug?" He kept saying her name. He rather liked it.
"Chatting." & 'Thinking'
