Elba hummed thoughtfully when Aslaug asked for her opinion on the pack they would be going to find and what duty she would like to have. "I'm definitely excited! I just can't decide if I'd rather be a healer or a fighter... I'm kind of leaning toward fighter, but I don't want mom to be the only healer if this pack doesn't have many of them like our old band did so maybe I'll wait to see what they need before I decide. Or maybe I can do both! We'll have to see how they have stuff set up there." She wasn't incredibly picky between the two studies since she loved them both equally and really she would keep practicing and studying both things no matter what her assigned task was in the pack. She could certainly understand where her sister was coming from when she voiced her concerns, but Elba wanted to dispel them as quickly as she could. She got up and trotted over to her sister's side, saying, "Hey, don't be too worried!" She gave her an encouraging grin and playfully nudged Aslaug's shoulder with her own. "It won't be all strangers, right? Baine and Nolan should be there so that's two familiar faces already! Maybe Casso decided to stay there too." She definitely hoped their great aunt and cousins would be there - at least Baine and Nolan. She wasn't sure what Casso's plan had been, but either way there was definitely going to be familiar family there when they arrived. "Plus, we're supposed to have a bunch of family there too and I'm sure they'll all be super nice!" With her encouragement given, Elba turned her two-toned gaze back toward the estuary around them. Her head tipped to the side thoughtfully while she tried to decide what she'd like to do next. An idea hit her and she turned to Aslaug with a grin. "Why don't we do a little hunting while we're out here? I have some herbs to bring back to mom, but wouldn't dad be proud if we brought back some food too?" With that plan in mind, she gathered up the horsetail she had gathered and found a dry spot between some grasses she could leave them where they wouldn't get lost. "What do you think, fish or birds? There's some ducks over there we could probably catch!" |
