Mortis spread his wings out wide and charged. Mæva did the same, launching herself straight for the larger boy, but slipping off slightly to her right, seeking to slam her chest into his left shoulder without realizing he was trying to slam his shoulder into her chest. Mortis successfully slammed his shoulder into her chest just as she launched her head down to try and catch the top of his shoulder in her jaws. At the same time she attempted to wrap her forelegs around his left elbow to help stop herself from reeling back from the blow.
