With her focus on her attack Mæva was vulnerable. She had no idea what Mortis' head was doing until his fangs wrapped around the back of her neck right behind her ears. She felt a chill creep down her neck at the feeling of his crazy fangs. Mæva moved to grip harder with her fangs and also with her legs but when Mortis tipped back on his hind legs and shoved against her chest she tipped over onto her back. Instinctively she kicked out with her hind legs, seeking to strike his right leg and make cause him to stumble, giving her time to get back on all four feet and continue the fight.
