The greeting that the male returned was as cool as the one that Galileo had let fall from his maw. He twitched his ears in the other's direction, allowing silence to reign for a few moments before he deigned to reply. "This isn't the nicest place, you know." The observation was mild, untempered by any sort of emotion. "These lands boast of much better views than this." He glanced around as he spoke, twotoned gaze observing his surroundings with just the slightest amount of condescension. He would always love the North. It would always hold his heart. Places like this were simply bland compared to the stark beauty and danger of his home.
Of course, Galileo was just slightly biased in that regard. His home had been torn from him, so of course he believed that it was the greatest place to be found. If he hadn't been forced to leave it, he probably would have left of his own choice, seeking something better elsewhere. But Galileo had never been given that opportunity, so he loved his memories that much more fiercely for it.
Inclining his head slightly in the other's direction, Galileo returned to the present with a flick of his ears. "My name is Galileo." The male added that part, his voice as calm as ever. Why, he could remember when even the smallest of pups had him hiding behind his mother. But Galileo had grown up since then, and the large male who stood before him had no affect on Galileo. He was at ease, or he had been, at least, until the female made an appearance.
His first thought was that she was gorgeous. His second was that he was far from a gentleman. Looking vaguely amused, he glanced towards the brown female with a halfhearted flick of his tail. "There's no special occasion." Still, he inclined his head in her direction, "Should there be?" He twitched his ears at the thought, glancing back at the black male. Did he know this wolfess? Or had she just appeared from nowhere?
