Mal gave a huff of laughter when Mortis followed up about the dogs. It was true, even if it hadn't felt like it in that very moment. The girl released a breath she didn't know she'd been holding when Iolaire praised her methods. At least I did something right. Thankfully, too, Mort's wing would be perfectly fine. Jeez... maybe she should've taken a hint from her friend and stopped blaming herself so much. Of course, that was much easier said than done.

When the woman came around to clean her own wounds, she winced slightly, but otherwise held still as she cleaned her wounds, and then smeared a pungent salve over the rendered flesh. She wrinkled her nose, but soon enough the healer explained its contents. The honey and willow bark were simple enough. "What are the turmeric and limestone for?" she asked, reaching down to sniff at her wounds.
She tossed a glance at Mortis, after. "Wanna see if we can find your dad, then?"
