Why's the sun so bright?

Well it seemed Kite wouldn't wait for a convenient time to start waking up. Octave watched as Kite suddenly pulled back from rubbing his face in his chest, not that Octave was really complaining... But as Kite jerked back he looked down at the small man, a half-panicked expression on his own face.

"Oh!" Noko's voice came from further in the den, there was a scraping of paws on stone and Noko emerged, she quickly scampered onto Octave's sides, big brown eyes looking at Kite with some amount of open curiosity. "We found you collapsed in Abaven lands." She said plainly watching the small man. "You ate some nasty flowers and hallucinogenic mushrooms. We tried to help you purge what was in your system but there wasn't much left." She gestured towards a scrap piece of pelt by the den mouth, they'd dispose of it later, not that there was much to get rid of. "Didn't your mother ever tell you not to eat strange plants?" Noko's tone was teasing.

Octave for his part was observing Kite carefully, he'd gently sniff near the smaller man's head. "How are you feeling?" Noko asked. It was likely that he'd need some food in his system but beyond that they needed to make sure nothing else was wrong, he'd made it through the night though, that was a good enough sign.
