fish are for the birds

No one had taught him how to fish, it was just something he had tried himself and apparently sucked at. He knew the general basics of it, but if there was an art to it, he certainly lacked it. His lie had backfired however and he mentally cursed himself for making himself sound better than he actually was. Oh well, maybe if he did actually teach this kid a thing or two about fishing he might even figure it out. It seemed like a good idea, at least. Wouldn't hurt to try.

"I bet I could, but what can you teach me?" He raised his brows at the boy, curious to see if the little punk had anything to offer him in exchange.
