Armada Task/Natha

Natha thanked the lack of snow and Resin released a rumble of agreement. This task would have been much more difficult with a thick layer of snow on everything. Plus the wood would be damp. She too was thankful for the decent weather.
Piece after piece was pulled from the dead tree. She shredded it as well as she was able with teeth and claws. The black and grey woman was glad to have chosen the orchard for this task. From her experience, the wood of fruit trees burned sweet and fragrant. A nice change from your standard bonfire smell.
Now that the extremities of the tree had been stripped, Resin moved up to the trunk and began digging at it with her curved steel claws. The tree wasn't terribly thick, so when she had it partially dug through, the big woman pushed hard, toppling the remainder of the tree. Once prone, she used her claws and her weight once more to shred it into sizeable chunks.
