Who needs sleep

His attack had landed, but it hardly did the damage he wanted it to. The man was taller which made it harder to topple him. The impact had left his own skull throbbing more than it had and initially made his vision a bit blurry when he opened his eyes after the contact. It was when he felt the mans paw wrap around his ankle though that he knew he was headed for the ground. He hadn't been expecting a hidden blade, though, and bit back a yelp when he felt it glide across his paw and allowing blood to mix in with the sand and Sirius'. As he landed hard on his own ribs, knocking the wind out of himself nearly, he rolled back onto his belly quickly to protect it and although he was at a great risk of having his back bitten, he rose and tried to shove the entirety of his weight into Sirius' side while he snapped at his knee, hoping his shoulder would at least put a decent bruise on his ribs, if nothing else.
